Judd and Kitty have been friends for 36 years! Kitty just retired so they decided to take an extended road trip and included us in one stop.
Shields Date Garden in Indio was one stop. I never liked dates until I had theirs. They have more varieties than I can name.
We showed them the town: El Paseo Drive, the Cliff House, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the gated communities, the snow on the mountains, the pleasure of an evening on the patio, and more. We ended their visit at a favorite place; Jackalope Restaurant. There are photos of it on previous blogs, but we think a different photo view is worth the repeat.
The landscaping is so beautiful and relaxing.
We aren't the only ones that like this place. Unless you get their early, there is always a long wait, even for the bar.
